I made a pact to try something new everyday, or at least try something that scares me once a day, as seen in a previous post. No matter how scared or how many excuses I had I had to try something.
so it began, I have a terrible fear of heights and so I stuck to my word and went on the Farris wheel at the Marshes shopping centre in Dundalk. It took some persuading as we got closer to the wheel and I saw the actual size of it. However, i closed my eyes and went up. I couldn't open my eyes and so all I could hear was the squeaking sound of the Ferris wheel as it went up and up and up. Eventually it came to a halt and I opened my eyes. scared t first I shut them immediately, but when I opened them again the view was amazing. We had stopped at the very top of the Farris heel and the view went on for miles and miles. Dundalk looked amazing at night with hundreds of lights flickering in the distance. Although I must admit I could not wait to be on the ground again.
I was very proud of myself that I had went on the Ferris wheel and conquered my fear of heights.
