My six hour journey home from Galway

For Halloween me and some friends from home went to Galway City for the night. It was brilliant and I had a great time. However he next day was awful. Not only was everyone wreaked tired but we had to travel for six hours just to get home on the bus. Usually if someone drives over it takes an hour and a half, depending on traffic.
It just goes to show the round about way people have to go home from college or if some body wanted to go shopping to Galway for the day and had no car or more unfortunately could not drive.
It started off early on Thursday morning, November first. We waited, still asleep, for the bus to arrive. The bus took just over two hours to get to Athlone. Here we had a half hour stop off, waiting for our next bus to Longford bus station. When we arrived in Longford bus station an hour and fourty-five minutes later we had a stop off for fifteen minutes but add to that an outrageous fourty minute delay. Why so outrageous you might ask? Doesn't everybody have delays, but when your tired, cold and hungry, everything seems worse. The only food available to eat was sweets from a small tuck shop and watery tea. All that went through my mind is that i could be home from here in a thirty minute drive and that i want my own car.
Roadtrip

Eventually we arrived in Carrick-On-Shannon. I waited for my lift home and eventually I collapsed on my living room couch six hours after I had left Galway City.
